~ A Young Adult and Fantasy Book Blog ~

description description description

This is a new meme hosted by Sugar & Snark. Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite cover’s with that characteristic.

I'm going to stop participating in Waiting in Wednesday meme, it got redundant and there are simply too many blogs participating in this meme, so I'm switching to another interesting meme! COVER CHARACTERISTICS! I have a secret obsession for pretty covers so I'm really excited!!!

This week’s cover characteristic: Dresses

Choosing my favourite five was among the hardest decision I ever made, but I managed to narrow it down at last! And they are

1. The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate
Urmm, no. I'm not planning to read anything by Lauren Kate but that dress is so intricate!

2. Entwined by Heather Dixon
Still reading this! Trust me guys, it looks better in real life.

3. PineLight (PineLight #1) by Jillian Peery
Bought it. Solely because of its cover. *sigh* Still yet to read this.

4. Dragonswood by Janet Lee Carey.
Read. It was good but not awesome. :/

5. After Obsession by Carrie Jones
The cover looks so simple but it's the orientation of the model that intrigued me.

Do you have 5 favorite covers with the characteristic “Dresses” on them?

Hi! Hi! In this episode of random rambling (well, it's not a rambling but it's still random XD), I'd like to share mock covers for Crewel that I've made! :D I've created this in conjunction with my participation with Crewel Street Team.

Tell me what you think! ^_^

Hey guys! How's your Monday? Today I'd like to share a promo of Bride of Fae;

Bride of Fae (Tethers, Book 2)

A love more powerful than magic or time. Beverly Bratton has a safe, mundane life. No drama. No magic. Since her parents died, she's cared for her little sister Marion and worked at the Tragic Fall Inn. When a fairy's charm sends Beverly a hundred years into the past-and into the path of a banished fairy prince-nothing will ever be mundane or safe again. The regent of the Dumnos fae is turning the court from light to dark, and there's nothing the rightful king, Prince Dandelion, can do about it. The mystical coronation cup which he needs to become king has fallen into human hands. When he meets a human woman with access to the cup, everything changes. Beverly is fascinating as well as useful-but of course Dandelion doesn't love her. Love for a fairy is rare. Love with a human, impossible. But when Beverly and Dandelion are thrown together in a battle against both wyrd and fae, they learn that in Dumnos the impossible happens every day Buy on Kindle / Nook

Okay, another episode of random rambling.

I'VE MADE A TWITTER ACCOUNT!!!
Uhum, yes. You may celebrate now.
And I'd appreciate if you could follow me just by clicking this link. :)

YES! I WOULD DEFINITELY FOLLOW BACK BECAUSE I NEED TO FOLLOW MORE PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY. Hehe.

And if you haven't noticed, I've made quite a few enhancement to this blog (I know, not quite a makeover because I love this layout so much!!!! (And I don't want to mess up with all the HTML codes).

Why?

I started reviewing on Goodreads and I really enjoy it (and still enjoy it!). I got to know so many awesome readers from around the world, interact with a few authors, got a chance to review some books for free.

And I thought that was the max, you know. Haha.

Until I saw all those pretty ARCs popping on my newsfeed.

I started applying for ARCs but of course I got declined more often because Goodreads was the only account I had. Hence, I decided to turn my personal blog into a book blog (Uh no, you won't see any personal posts anymore. I've taken them down. :P)

Still, I scored a few ARCs but not the ones from the major publishing companies. So many efforts for those ARCs...so I thought 'Nah! I got life to tend to.'

Then, I joined Crewel Street Team.
Go Team Time Weavers!!
So I followed all my team mates' blogs and THEY INTRODUCED TO ME A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF BOOKBLOGGING!

All the cover reveals, blog tours, blog hops...they look so fun!!! So, I decided to join the bandwagon and this time I choose to, not because I want more followers and to get more ARCs.

From there, comes the Facebook page (the link is on the sidebar :)) and now the Twitter account!!!

And I spent this whole morning stalking all of frequent commentors of this blog, my close friends on Goodreads and my favourite authors. So if you see your blog link and button on my sidebar, hurray to you, you rock! If you want to be included in this list, please comment on this post! ^_^

SO YEAH, THERE YOU HAVE IT.
to become a serious book blogger! X)

Bring out the confetti, the fireworks and probably some canons too because we have our winner for this awesomesausages prize!

BRENDA FROM NSW, AUSTRALIA!

Thank you so much for those who have entered the giveaway! I hope you enjoy seeing my book blog updates on your Facebook newsfeed. ^_^

For the rest of you who haven't like my Facebook page, feel free to do so. :)

Do recommend me your Facebook page too because I'm also looking for fantastic page to like and subscribe. XD

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine . It's where we showcase all the books we can't wait to get our hands on!

This week's WoW pick is;

Blind Spot by Laura Ellen
Expected publication: October 23rd 2012 by Harcourt Children's Books

There’s none so blind as they that won’t see.
Seventeen-year-old Tricia Farni’s body floated to the surface of Alaska’s Birch River six months after the night she disappeared. The night Roz Hart had a fight with her. The night Roz can’t remember. Roz, who struggles with macular degeneration, is used to assembling fragments to make sense of the world around her. But this time it’s her memory that needs piecing together—to clear her name . . . to find a murderer.
This unflinchingly emotional novel is written in the powerful first-person voice of a legally blind teen who just wants to be like everyone else.

I need another heart-wrenching contemporary novel which can make me cry after The Fault in Our Stars. I hope this one will fit the bill. Enough said. :)

What are you waiting for this Wednesday? ^_^
